ComicBooks For Kids!,

a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides comic
books to children in hospitals and cancer centers has
achievedthe Platinum GuideStar Nonprofit Profile level.
Less than 1/2 of 1 percent of the nation’s 1.8 million IRS-recognized nonprofit organizations have achieved the GuideStar Platinum level. GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information about nonprofit organizations and a leader in advancing transparency in the nonprofit sector. This level demonstrates CB4K's deep commitment to nonprofit transparency and accountability.

“As we continue to expand our mission to bring more comic books to children in hospitals and cancer centers across the US, it is important to showcase not only our upcoming projects but present the status on our achievements,” said Mark Weiss, President. “As a GuideStar Platinum participant, we will continue to document current information to not only our supporters but to GuideStar’s immense online audience of nonprofits, grantmakers, individual donors, and the media.”

About GuideStar Nonprofit Profiles

The GuideStar database contains a profile for every tax-exempt nonprofit registered with the IRS. GuideStar invites nonprofits to update their profiles at no cost to the organizations. Updating allows nonprofits to share a wealth of up-to-date information with the millions of people who visit GuideStar to learn more about nonprofit organizations and the more than 120 sites and applications that use GuideStar data. To earn a logo, an organization needs to complete all required fields for that participation level. The GuideStar logos, acknowledged as symbols of transparency in the nonprofit sector, are displayed on all updated participants’ profiles in the GuideStar database.
