Bleeding Cool Features CB4K’s Exclusive Transformers #1 Cover
A fan-favorite hero helps support a mission that brings comic books to children in hospitals.
In March 2019, Bleeding Cool highlighted an exciting ComicBooks For Kids! exclusive: a special variant cover for IDW Publishing’s Transformers #1, featuring the legendary Optimus Prime. Created by artist Timothy Lim, the exclusive was planned for the C2E2 convention in Chicago, giving Transformers fans a unique collectible while supporting CB4K’s charitable mission.
The project brought together the excitement of a beloved comic book franchise and the opportunity to make a difference for hospitalized children. Exclusive covers like this help raise awareness of CB4K and demonstrate how comic creators, publishers, and fans can unite to support young patients.
We're grateful to the artists, publishers, retailers, and fans who help turn their passion for comics into opportunities to bring joy to children facing difficult circumstances.
